Description

Sinuous Walk of the Tiger is an Anthology of 104 poems that bestrides the strata of politics, relationship and lifestyle, projecting the realities of life in Nigeria, Africa and the World, from a broad reflection of the unique and subjective experiences of individuals and collectives. Full of influences and interplays of people living and loving, the myriad of their experiences with reality; the good, the bad and the ugly and portraying the fact that people not only make the world go round but whatever goes around comes around. The King and the Rainmakers, is a poem that captures the walk of Goodluck Jonathan; (Nigeria's President, of a minority ethnic group), from the rustic town of Otuoke in Bayelsa State Nigeria, to the marbled walls of Aso Rock Villa; Nigeria's seat of governance; His poise to give the best and his travails in the hands of his traducers; the Rainmakers, who vowed to make the Nation ungovernable for him. First Daughter of Africa is about Oprah Winfrey (the World's most Influential Woman). This particular poem traces her migration from the uncelebrated ashes of Kosciusko downtown Mississippi to the Gold Trophy status of her life, where she is bastioned in all possibilities. Africa indeed beckons on her to visit with more of her rescue mission. Excellency portrays the rainbow qualities of Barack Obama, the President of the United States of America. He is a revelation that our dreams and imaginations are the very limits of our possibilities. Also that it is only laundry that should be separated by color; for the Joy of Blackness, the Hope of Africa, the Faith in a New World and the Progress of Mankind. Watershed is a poem that feasts on the life and times of Festus Mogae, former President of Botswana. His residual integrity bequeaths posterity with the Hope of a New Africa; a radical departure from a tradition of impunity and rapacity. Vivisection of Africa puts in proper perspective the ravaging effects of Slavery and Colonialism on Af.
